MCITP

As a part of the recent restructuring of the Microsoft Partner program I, along with four colleagues, have had to gain the Microsoft Certified IT Professional qualification in order that our employer can retain its gold partner status for the Management discipline.  In actual fact, the MCITP is only half the story, in addition to this, two management MCTS (Microsoft Certified Technology Specialist) exams are also required – luckily I happened to have these already.

I went on a boot-camp style course for 12 hours a day, for 5 days.  It was really hard going!  I was surprised on the range of subjects covered in the course.  Technologies that I do not ordinarily use like AD-RMS and AD-FS were the most difficult to comprehend.

I would have preferred to have more self study time, but life as a consultant means that this doesn’t always work out – chargeable work will always be the priority.

Anyway, I am pleased to say that I passed!
